Having photographed Juli and Tim's wedding at the Franklin Park Conservatory in the fall of 2009, I felt truly honored when Juli emailed to ask if I would be with them at St. Joseph's Cathedral as they celebrated the Sacrament of Marriage. I am so used to the cathedral feeling huge and full of people; Juli and Tim's Mass took place behind the altar, with only a handful of family attending... such an intimate experience and one I won't ever forget.

Shame on me. I didn't know that right here on Long Street is a fabulous old-skool record shop - SPOONFUL RECORDS - complete with a checkerboard floor, pinball machines, and a penny gumball dispenser (A penny! Now that's retro). Elaine and Mike (who's a regular at Spoonful), and their little girl, Darla, decided to grab their old Christmas records for a portrait session at the store. What fun! How many kids know what vinyl is? ... now THAT's great parenting!
