In honor of all our flying adventures last year (see MY POST), camping under the wing was definitely in order while Ryan was visiting. Off we went to Mad River Airport, Ryan in the Luscombe and I in the Champ with John (still have yet to solo)...
Mustard's last stand.
Long before dog stands were trendy again, Mustard's Last Stand was here. Visiting my family in Melbourne, Florida, is not complete without a stop for something yummy. Always intrigued by the idea of frozen cheesecake on a stick, I thought I'd give it a go this time... Delicious! But melty in the heat because I nibble so slowly.
Velvet winter.
The weather hasn't been too good for flying, but it's been wonderful for cross-country skiing. I've always wanted to ski. You'd think having lived in Vermont that I would have spent some time on skis, but no. Thank you, ALFA SPORT, on Henderson Road, for your rental department! This and the two posts below are all from skiing adventures (or the drive to get to them): Darby Creek, Prairie Oaks, Glacier Ridge, and Highbanks.
Vist MY FLICKR SITE if you'd like to see more photographs of the winter wonderland.
