Sad news. My little bird, Blueberry Sparkles (also known lovingly as The Blue Menace), passed away last month. He was a fearless little guy, harrassing the cat and arguing with the “outside” birds through the window. He enjoyed picnics, road trips & camping, taking naps in my pocket, going to Graeter’s for ice cream, and having “Sparklecakes” (his favorite pancakes) for breakfast get-togethers on the porch with our friend, Andrew. If you met him you know he was practically inseparable from my shoulder, and it truly feels like I’ve lost a limb. He is greatly missed.
Wales: Roath Park in Cardiff.
Yes, I'm still sifting through images from last year's trip to Wales. These are from an afternoon spent wandering around Roath Park, just north of the city...
Art festival news...
Catching up... here's a photo of my booth at last fall's ART FAIR IN YELLOW SPRINGS. What a great first experience doing a festival. A big thank you to everyone who helped in one way or another: John & the kids, Vicki & Tom, and Lisa & Clay for all their help with building, lending me tools & trucks, and setting up & taking down... to Lisa Goldberg for putting together a great event... and especially to all the folks who stopped by to visit. It was wonderful to see old friends, make new ones, and be inspired by the work of other exhibiting artists. Hopefully I'll be able to set up shop again this year.
This spring's news is that I was accepted into the big COLUMBUS ARTS FESTIVAL!! Very excited about this. I'll be at the riverfront in booth 80R from June 7 through the 9th. More details to come.
